The Tools of Enrollment

Have you seen the Marketplace Health Plan Comparison Tool – currently available for Illinois only – from Consumers’ CHECKBOOK? It's designed to take consumers with little or no knowledge of insurance through a few simple steps to help them quickly choose the plan that best fits their needs and preferences. The tool compares every plan available in the Illinois Marketplace based on total estimated cost (not just premiums or deductibles), plan quality, doctor availability, and other factors.

And here at IHM, we are beta-testing a different kind of digital enrollment tool – one that's more of a "tour" of the enrollment process. This is not intended to take the place of navigators; rather it is aimed at individuals who want to better understand how the ACA enrollment process works. It gives them information they need to take the next step – whether they’re enrolling themselves or helping a friend or family member or just want to feel comfortable with the process. We'd love to have your feedback. Email us at info@illinoishealthmatters.org
